SIP Panels for your new home or for a room addition.
 |
What are SIP Panels
SIPs are high-performance building panels for floors, walls
and roofs in residential and commercial buildings. Each
panel is typically made using expanded polystyrene (EPS), or
polyisocyanurate rigid foam insulation sandwiched between
two structural skins of oriented strand board (OSB), but
other surfaces are also available to meet your needs. The
result is a building system that is very strong,
predictable, energy efficient, and cost effective.

SIPs are a structural building
system constructed of a solid core of
foam insulation with laminated skins of
oriented strand board (OSB) or plywood.
The foam core provides a high insulation
value (R=4 per inch), while the
laminated skins contribute to the
system's overall rigidity, strength, and
dimensional stability.
Wall and Roof Panels are factory
designed and precut specifically for
each project. Typical panel packages
include all required panels, support
members, fasteners, sealants and panel
layout drawings.
Advantages of SIP Construction:
• Savings up to 60% of
heating/cooling costs
•
Superior structural strength/
straighter walls
• Fast Construction - reduced labor
costs
• Precut panels - less jobsite waste
• Environmentally responsible -
build Green
• Quieter and more secure home
• 15 times tighter than conventional
building
• Qualify for energy efficient
mortgages
Basement and Below Grade Foundation
Panels consist of 5/8" treated
plywood laminated to both sides of 7
3/8" expanded polystyrene insulation.
5-ply treated glulam studs 4' o.c.
complete the structural wall system.
Basement floor panels are also
available.
